Return to Rehearsals October 18

October 6, 2021 • mbell

We will return to rehearsals on October 18th at 7:30pm at Covenant United Methodist Church, 4410 Duval Rd.

As noted before, the band is rebuilding after the Covid shutdown and looking for brass players! If you play cornet, trumpet, flugelhorn, tenor or French horn, baritone, euphonium, trombone, tuba or percussion, please join us at one of our open rehearsals beginning October 18th.

Please note that all parts are in treble clef, except for bass trombone, which is in bass clef. Tenor Horn parts are in Eb, and tuba parts are in Eb and Bb treble clef.

We welcome your participation and will have some fun music to play at rehearsals. We ask that players are vaccinated to keep our band members (and our host church members) safe, since we are in an environment where there will be a lot of air moving around, and we share rehearsal space with the church. We use the honor system.

You can email us to let us know you are coming or if you have any questions (abbtreasurer2018@gmail.com), or just show up with your instrument on rehearsal day ready to play!

We look forward to meeting you!

COVID Continues to Delay Us

September 17, 2021 • mbell

Due to Austin being in Stage 5 we have further delayed our return to rehearsals. We are not sure when we will be able to start up. Austin will need to be at least Stage 4 and probably Stage 3 before we are able to rehearse again. We do still intend to have open rehearsals once we start up again and are still seeking new members.

A brand new Austin Brass Band web site is in progress. Thank you for your patience.

Like most other music groups around the world, we are on an indefinite hiatus due to the Covid Pandemic. We hope to get back to making music again soon.
